Muffin Tin Advent Calendar

I was inspired to create this advent calendar from this post I found on Pinterest: http://queenvanna.wordpress.com/2008/11/12/and-a-happy-new-year/

My Muffin Tin Advent Calendar:

I have been searching for years to find that perfect Advent Calendar. When I found this pin on Pinterest I knew I could create this.

Here are the items you’ll need:

  • 24 count muffin tin (I got mine at Wal-Mart for $4.00)
  • Self adhesive magnetic business card holders (These come 50 to a pack at Staples for $14.99 however, if you are making one with a friend you can split this cost)
  • Christmas card stock (Michael’s and I prefer the shiny kind to make it pop)
  • Glitter numbers (Michael’s)
  • Embellishments

This is self explanatory just by looking at the picture but here is a helpful hint: I cut down the business card to the size I wanted; to make sure the hole was properly covered. I then used that as the template to cut the remaining card holders. Then I peeled off the sticker on the card and placed on the Christmas cardstock paper. I then cut the paper using the card as the outline. If you have wording or a picture you are trying to capture make sure you are centering the card. This was fun and easy to make and I got a lot of, “I want one!”
