Washi Tape Candles (Patriotic)

Well, I finally did it…I bought Washi Tape! So exciting. I was at Target the other day and bought the last three they had. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them at first but it finally hit me. I need to start decorating the mantel for Memorial Day. And, I think the colors are fun and summery enough. If you don’t know what Washi Tape is, it is decorative tape found in the office supply section. Here is the Washi Tape that I purchased:

At first I thought I would wrap the candle holders themselves but then I thought, no, that’s already been done. Let’s see if this stuff sticks to the candle. Sure enough it did! I started wrapping from the top. Below is a picture where I am halfway through wrapping the candles:

I completely eye balled it and didn’t measure. I literally wrapped my candles in less than 5 minutes! Here is the final product:

When I get done decorating in a patriotic style I will show you my finished mantel. For now, I LOVE my Washi Tape candles. Very patriotic looking :)

  20. These look great! I can never find any washi tape. I’m still on the hunt for it.

  21. Laura says:

Except none of that is washi tape. That’s just the crappy paper tape from Target, definitely not the same thing.
