Decorating Above the Kitchen Cabinets

One of the most under decorated spaces is the space above our kitchen cabinets. Most kitchens now a days have this awkward space to decorate. Today I am going to show you some spaces I love and cap it off with how I have decorated mine.

Thrifty Decor Chick shares with us how she decorated above her cabinets. Love it! She did it right :)

Houzz has an article on 12 Creative Ideas for Decorating Above the Kitchen Cabinets and I love this choice. The plates look amazing!

SAS Interiors shows how you can make it look clean and simple with photo frames.
I LOVE this next kitchen and how she utilized her space. Antiquechase shows us what she did.
Now let me show you what I did. Let me start off by saying, when I got married back in 1997 we wanted a “fruit” themed kitchen. We fell in love with the Corelle Fruit Basket pattern. Corelle lasts forever and we will have these Forever. I loved it in 1997. Not so much in love with it now ;)

Well, when we had a Sam’s Club membership (we are now Costco fans) they always sold their biscotti in beautiful fruit jars. I collected these. You can see them above my cabinets :) They don’t sell biscotti like this anymore. It’s ok. I have enough!

I made my EAT sign at the beginning of the year. I found many items in storage that I didn’t know what to do with.

Notice more Biscotti jars :) I got my large E from Hobby Lobby and used a coupon. It was only $5!!

I don’t think I am done yet though. I might be adding some large vinyl lettering somewhere. Just not set on what I want it to say. So tell me, how do you have your cabinets decorated?
