Another great morning food that you can make while you are baking a fabulous Breakfast Casserole is…Hashbrown Casserole. If you love the Cracker Barrel’s Hashbrown Casserole, then you are going to LOVE this!!!
Let’s take a look at the ingredients needed:
Here is what you will need:
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz. of sour cream
- 1 stick of butter melted
- 1 1/2 cups of chopped, frozen onion (or 1 medium onion chopped)
- 2 lb. bag of frozen hashbrowns (I used the cubed country or southern style, although you can make this with the shredded as well)
- 2 cups of shredded, cheddar cheese
- Pepper (I don’t measure salt and pepper, ever)
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix together in a large mixing bowl all ingredients. Place in a 9×13 pan and bake for approximately 1 hour.
Now let’s take a look at just how scrumptious this is:
Doesn’t that look oh so, delicious?!?!?

I do have to say, now that the frozen vegetable sections has chopped onion and cut up peppers and onions, I totally cheat to save time and my crying eyes! Can anyone else relate? Kudos to whoever thought to do that. And, it’s really inexpensive. A bag of chopped onion is $.99 and I can use it twice to 3 times in a recipe. Love it!
