My entire life at some point or another has been dominated by football and tailgating! Growing up and living in Miami, we had Joe Robbie Stadium where we would often take our RV and be there for hours in the grass cooking up hotdogs, applying fake tattoos and that cool black junk under our eyes, and tossing the ole pig skin by the lights of the parking lot. I even have a picture of me and mother in the 80′s wearing my teal and white and orange Miami Dolphins Super bowl gear for a photo, I was two! High school brought on marching band, and me being the Drum Major (nothing to do with beating a drum) I was engrossed in weekends spent on the AstroTurf and hanging on the track next to the field cheering on my Barracudas and then afterwards hanging in the parking lot of the school watching the football hotties exit the bus and hangout. One of those hotties was lucky enough to snag me a decade later as his wife! We are big Miami Hurricanes fans and often gather as a family and tailgate at the stadium and eat chicken wings, drink some brewskies, and don our orange and green. When we aren’t able to attend games, we set up shop in the living room of our apartment or parents’ house with our UM cutlery, glassware, whatever’s on hand and tailgate on the couch inviting over anyone and everyone who wants to join in the spirit of FOOTBALL!!!!! This year we get to begin really sharing that tradition with our three boys!–
